Early Morning Iona.

 I lived on the beautiful Isle of Iona  for a year working on the Abbey and studying to achieve enough qualifications to be able to enter university. During my year I liked nothing more than the early morning walks along the beaches and shores of the small island. The only sounds were the sounds of early birds and the gentle lapping of the waves on the beautiful sands and rocks.

This painting was painted from memory of those morning walks and the stillness of the air.

The canvas is 20” x24” the frame in 3” wide all round so the complete work measures 26” x 30” approx.
